About these terms

RentChecked is operated personally by Mickey for the controlled UK pilot, not through a registered company. General contact: hello@rentchecked.co.uk. Read these alongside our Privacy notice and Review guidelines.

Use the service fairly

Submit accurate information about your own tenancy. Keep sign-in links private and do not impersonate someone else, access another person’s account, submit misleading evidence, automate abusive requests or disrupt the service. Do not post unlawful content, threats, harassment, hateful material or spam.

Your review and publication

You remain responsible for what you submit. Only upload material you are entitled to share. You retain ownership of your content and permit RentChecked to store and process it for verification and moderation, and to display eligible review text and ratings on the service. This does not permit public display of your proof or original supporting photos.

Tenancy verification and moderation are required before publication. Publication is not guaranteed, and verification is not a certification that every statement is correct. Submitted revisions cannot be edited in place. If staff request changes, use My RentChecked to submit a new revision. A review may ultimately be Published or Not published.

We may investigate reports and restrict misuse or remove content where necessary. Reporting a review does not guarantee its removal. Contact support if you want a decision reviewed.

Using property information

Tenant reviews describe personal experiences. External property data may be incomplete or out of date; use the source and limitation notes on each property page. RentChecked is not a substitute for viewing a property or obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances.

A RentChecked Score needs at least three eligible verified published reviews. Landlord/management ratings, EPC, flood and crime data do not contribute to it.

Availability and changes

The pilot may experience interruptions or changes. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Updated terms will be available here; material changes should be explained before they affect continued use. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
